Alex Denton received her PhD from the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology. Her PhD research centered on the properties of lower limb muscle-tendon units during human locomotion. Alex originally joined the Bowerman Sports Science Clinic as an undergraduate researcher in 2016 and returned a postdoctoral scholar in 2023. She aims to apply mathematical models to better understand the function/dysfunction of bone, muscle, and tendon in endurance athletes.
