Semiconductors Track Manager, Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program

Fuding oversees the semiconductor track within the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program. He mentors students on technical learning and professional development, updates track curriculum, teaches track-specific and cross-track courses, and supports student recruitment as well as corporate partnership development. Fuding also manages the microfabrication facility in CAMCOR.

Fuding received his B.S. in Physics from Xiamen University in 1997 and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Oregon in 2009. His graduate research focused on mixed ionic-electronic charge transport in organic semiconductors, and his postdoc work was on semiconductor-based solar water splitting. Fuding was the founding technical director of the SuNRISE Photovoltaic lab, and he currently serves as a member of the JMP Discovery Summit steering committee. Besides helping students start a career in the industry, Fuding also enjoys playing badminton and sharing good tea with people.
