About the 2020 Oregon Bioengineering Symposium
The second annual Oregon Bioengineering Symposium will be held as a virtual event on Thursday, November 5, 2020 by the University of Oregon’s Phil & Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Co-organized by the University of Oregon, Oregon Health Sciences University, and Oregon State University, this year’s meeting will focus on Predicting Complex Biological Systems. In addition to highlighting the latest research and applications related to this timely topic, the goal of the meeting is collaboration and exchange of ideas between students, researchers, industry partners and clinical practitioners in Oregon and the surrounding region. The 2020 Oregon Bioengineering Symposium will feature speakers from UO, OHSU, and OSU, offer networking opportunities, and include a virtual poster session with the chance for trainees to be considered for an oral presentation and awards of up to $1000.
We will bring together students and faculty members with practitioners of biomedical engineering and the life sciences for panel discussions, technical sessions and extended exchange of ideas and information important to the future of the field of biomedical engineering.
Some symposium highlights include:
- Assisting participants in planning their academic and industrial careers
- Introducing companies to the intellectual prowess of the Northwest
- Exposing participants to innovative research in biomedical engineering and allied areas
The Oregon Bioengineering Symposium provides a unique opportunity for medical industry professionals, faculty and students to learn about new biomedical research and discuss career and industry related topics. The Symposium is projected to attract up to 300 attendees, including engineers, scientists, faculty, and students involved in the medical industry. Advance your business objectives and connect with these professionals by becoming a sponsor.
