Phillip Hernandez joined the Knight Campus in July of 2022 as a research assistant in the Guldberg Lab. He earned his undergraduate degree in bioengineering at Oregon State University where he also worked as an undergraduate researcher in the Giers Lab. During this time, he developed an honors thesis that mapped lumbar spine surgical outcomes/risk factors and worked on a semi-automatic computational MRI variability study. Phillip is planning to pursue either an MD or a PhD in the near future.
