Lina Manipe Castro

Postdoctoral Scholar, Guldberg Lab

Lina María Mancipe Castro is a post-doctoral scholar in Dr. Robert E. Guldberg’s laboratory. She received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2020. During her Ph.D., Lina focused on the development of micron-sized hydrogel drug delivery vehicles for the intra-articular treatment of osteoarthritis. Additionally, Lina served as the president of the Latino Organization of Graduate Students (LOGRAS), which supports the academic, cultural and professional development of the Latino community at Georgia Tech.

Currently, Lina is investigating the influence of regenerative medicine strategies and rehabilitation protocols on the healing of knee joint injuries.
