The Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact is the home for a number of graduate training programs in the sciences. The purpose of these programs is to train scientists in an accelerated academic format and provide opportunities for real-world knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the industrial environment.
When the first Knight Campus building is complete in early 2020, the existing academic tracks will be located together for the first time. The Knight Campus will host training laboratories and classroom spaces designed specifically for applied graduate education.
Currently, there are two research foci: materials science (four tracks) and life sciences (one track).
