Biranche Tandon

Postdoctoral Scholar, Dalton Lab
Biranche Tandon completed his PhD in Biomedical Materials from the University of Manchester in 2019, exploring the use of piezoelectric materials for bone tissue repair. His thesis involved fabricating fibrous materials using electrospinning and solution blow spinning, characterizing them from a biological perspective and performing in-vitro experiments to explore the potential of these materials for tissue engineering applications. His first post-doctoral appointment was in Würzburg, Germany with Paul Dalton where he gained experience in melt electrowriting of various polymers, continuing today with research in fabricating advanced melt electrowritten implants. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, cooking and playing sports.
