The newest cohort of Knight Campus doctoral students showcased their communications skills in a series of flash talks hosted by the Knight Campus Department of Bioengineering Seminar Series. Members of the cohort presented as a capstone experience to their first quarter Design Thinking and Science Communication course, which builds on the storytelling and communications training introduced during Impact Week.

The five-minute talks focused on key insights learned through two four-week mini rotations during their first term. Topics ranged from computational peptide design to innovative 3D printing techniques to regenerative rehabilitation. Students presented in three cluster-sessions, with each cluster followed by 10-minute Q&A with the audience.

The presenters included Andrew Powers, David Frey Rubio, DeShea Chasko, Iman von Briesen, Jarod Forer, Frank Pittman, Karly Fear, Lia Strait, Madeline Martin, Malley Gautreaux, Nick Pancheri, and Rubiya Yasmin.
